British Airways has revealed its 50th and 51st Avios-Only flights, with new services departing from London City Airport to Madrid and Toulon Saint-Tropez this summer. For those unfamiliar, British Airways runs a number of Avios-Only flights a year where 100% of the seats onboard these flights are exclusively available to book as Reward Seats using Avios.
The flights go on sale tomorrow, 12 February, exclusively to British Airways Club members, with seats starting at just £2 plus 21,500 Avios return to Toulon, or £2 plus 28,000 Avios return to Madrid. This pricing is the Reward Flight Saver option which means more Avios, less cash.

Or if you have a Barclaycard Avios Mastercard, you can use your Cabin Upgrade Voucher to upgrade the flight paying the Avios needed for Euro Traveller, but the taxes and fees for Club Europe (a whole £2!).
Our recommendation: stick with Euro Traveller
I flew from London City a couple of weeks ago, and whilst I haven't put my review up yet (there's just been too much going on!), I'll give you my brief run-through as to why I would be sticking with Euro Traveller.
There's no lounge access at London City Airport, which removes one of the key benefits of Club Europe. BA Cityflyer uses Embraer E190's which are configured in a 2-2 configuration. When you book Club Europe on any Airbus A320 family aircraft, the middle seat is blocked out, giving everyone a bit more wiggle room. But on the E190's, the adjacent seat is not blocked, meaning no extra space. More importantly to you all I'm sure, is the fact that BA CityFlyer also operates a full complimentary bar service even in Euro Traveller. So would I value a meal onboard for 10,000 Avios? No I would not.
What I would do though is make sure you pick the correct seat onboard, as the seat pitch gets narrower the further back in the aircraft you are. Row 1 is bulkhead, rows 2 to 11 have a 33” seat pitch, row 12 is a an exit row with 39” seat pitch, rows 13 to 26 have a 29” seat pitch, and row 27 has a measly 28” pitch. My seat was 4a, and even at 6ft2, you can see that I had ample legroom.
Seats go on sale tomorrow over on ba.com.
