The ever popular Tesco Clubcard to Virgin Points bonus promotion is back for another round! Virgin/Tesco are once again giving away 5,000 Virgin Points to new auto-exchange sign-ups.
But I do want to have a little moan this time... More on that at the bottom of the article.
Most of you will have taken advantage of these deals before, but it's worth sharing with you in case you haven't. Perhaps you know someone who would benefit from this?
If you're a Tesco Clubcard holder and love to travel, this is your chance to score an extra 5,000 Virgin Points. Virgin Red is offering a bonus of 5,000 Virgin Points when you sign up for the first time to auto transfer your Tesco Clubcard points into Virgin Points by 10th May 2026.
So, How Do I Get the Bonus I Hear You Ask?
To bag your 5,000 bonus Virgin Points, you'll need to:
Sign up for automatic Clubcard-to-Virgin Points exchanges for the very first time between 26th January and 10th May (click here to go there!)
Keep your auto-exchange active right through to 10th May
Have at least 250 Clubcard points sitting in your account on 10th May
If you meet all three criteria, those lovely 5,000 bonus Virgin Points will land in your Virgin Red account by 14th June.
Important – you won't qualify for this bonus if you've ever signed up for automatic exchanges before, even if you're not using it anymore. This also applies if someone else in your Clubcard household has previously set up auto-exchange – sorry, but it's one bonus per household.
To set up to have your Clubcard points auto-exchanged into Virgin Points:
Go the Clubcard website and select “Clubcard Account" from the headings at the top of the page
Click on "Clubcard management" from the drop down and then select “Voucher schemes”
On the “Voucher schemes” page, select the “Virgin Points" box and input your Virgin Atlantic membership number
The Two Ways to Convert Your Points
Irrespective of getting the 5,000 Virgin Point bonus, there are a couple of options on how to convert your Tesco Clubcard vouchers into Virgin Points.

You can manually exchange them in increments of £1.50, with each £1.50 giving you 300 Virgin Points. Or if you'd rather set it and forget it, you can choose auto-exchange, which requires a minimum of 250 Clubcard points (£2.50) to get started, giving you 500 Virgin Points. Once set up, your points will continue to exchange automatically in increments of 50. If you need Virgin Points between statement periods and have auto-exchange enabled, you can swap a minimum of 150 Clubcard points instantly whenever you like.
Virgin Points Never Expire
A lovely little detail about Virgin Points is that they never expire. Ever! You can earn and spend them with Virgin Atlantic and partner airlines including Air France, KLM, Delta etc, plus redeem them for hotel stays, cruises, experiences, and much more.
My thoughts...
Tesco/Virgin Red like to tout this as a limited time offer, but is it? This current offer began 26th January, the day after the previous offer ended 25th January. This last offer, it must have been something different? No! The exact same offer. All I'm saying, is can we please end this charade of a limited time offer, and just have it permanently, because that's clearly what it is.
