Turn Fuel Into Avios: How to Convert BPme Rewards into Avios

Thanks to BP’s partnership with British Airways, every visit to a BP garage can help you edge closer to your next trip. Each fill-up or shop earns you BPme Rewards points, which can then be converted into Avios to use on flights, upgrades and travel extras.

The BPme Rewards to Avios Conversion Rate

The conversion itself is very straightforward. For every 40 BPme Rewards points, you can exchange them for 25 Avios. Better still, when you convert your points for the very first time, you’ll receive a bonus of 50 Avios, giving your balance a helpful boost.

Over time, those small conversions can really add up, especially if BP is your go-to petrol station.

How to Convert BPme Rewards into Avios

To link your BPme Rewards and Avios accounts, simply head into your BPme app, scroll down to "Where to redeem your points", find Avios, and go through the verification process logging into your British Airways Club account to link the two together. Or you can click here to be taken to the BPme/Avios webpage.

To convert, you’ll need at least 40 BPme Rewards points in your account. Once you’ve reached that minimum, you can choose how many points you want to convert into Avios each month, up to a maximum of 30,000 BPme Rewards points.

Conversions are quick and easy to do through the BPme app, and your points are transferred instantly, meaning your Avios are ready to be used on flights, upgrades on British Airways, Iberia, Qatar etc

Auto-Conversion or Manual: You Choose

If you like to stay in control, you can manually convert your BPme Rewards points whenever it suits you. Prefer a more hands-off approach? You can also enable auto-conversion.

Simply toggle auto-conversion to ‘On’ in the app, and your points will be converted automatically each month. If you ever change your mind, switching it off is just as easy.

Should You Convert or Spend Your Points at BP?

It’s worth noting that BPme Rewards points don’t have to be converted into Avios. You can also redeem 200 points for £1 off fuel or shop purchases at BP garages.

This makes BPme Rewards a flexible programme. If you’d rather save money at the pump, or your M&S shop, you can do that. If travel is your priority, converting to Avios often delivers far greater long-term value.
