Loganair, the regional Scottish carrier, has officially joined the Avios Clan. Let me explain…

Loganair E145

Effective 31st March 2025, customers flying with Loganair can now collect and redeem Avios, joining a global network of airlines that includes British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling, Qatar Airways, and Finnair. This integration offers travellers even greater connectivity to destinations worldwide.

Passengers can earn and spend Avios on Loganair, which serves key regional hubs such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Newcastle, and its newly announced Southampton base. Additionally, Loganair flights from London Heathrow and the Isle of Man are included. Through Loganair’s codeshare and interline agreements, customers gain even more opportunities to accumulate and use Avios for travel across the UK, Europe, and beyond.

As part of this transition, Loganair’s loyalty programme has been rebranded from Clan Loganair to Loganair Loyalty. While maintaining all existing benefits, the programme now adopts Avios as its rewards currency. Current Clan Loganair members will have their points automatically converted to Avios, ensuring their value remains consistent with other airlines. Additionally, customers can link their Loganair Loyalty and British Airways Executive Club accounts, enabling seamless transfers between the two programmes.

Loganair and Avios

A reward flight on Loganair will be priced at 6,500 Avios one way, which considering the price of some Loganair flights would be excellent value! Another plus is that this will enable non-London based Avios collectors greater connectivity when looking to pay with Avios.

Earning rates on Loganair aren’t unreasonable compared to the cost of redemption.

If you are a regular business traveller who buys 10 Fly Flex tickets, that would be enough Avios collected for a one way flight.

Overall I would say that this change brings greater value to the Loganair brand, and customer, with the extra opportunities that this will bring.
