Revolut x Avios: 20% bonus Avios when converting RevPoints

A short and sweet one from us today.

Long have we bemoaned the fact we rarely, if ever, get to see the bonus point conversions our American brothers and sisters enjoy. Every few months another US bank runs a juicy transfer bonus to Avios or another airline programme, and those of us on this side of the pond just watch on wistfully.

Well, for once, we've actually got something worth talking about. Revolut is running a promotion from 17 August through to 30 August 2026 where you'll get a 20% Avios bonus when converting your RevPoints over to Avios.

What is the RevPoints to Avios bonus offer?

Between 00:00 UTC on 17 August and 23:59 UTC on 30 August 2026, Revolut customers who redeem RevPoints for Avios will get an extra 20% in bonus Avios on top of their normal conversion, credited straight into their British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia or Vueling loyalty account.

So if you redeem 1,000 RevPoints for Avios, instead of getting 1,000 Avios you'll end up with 1,200. That 20% is added automatically, there's no separate step or code needed, you just need to complete your redemption within the promotion window.

The bonus Avios should land in your account within two business days of the redemption.

Who can take part

This one's open to existing Revolut Personal customers with a registered address in the UK, Ireland or Spain. Business accounts aren't included.

To actually qualify, you need to:

• Have opted into the RevPoints loyalty programme and hold at least 1 RevPoint

• Already have an account with one of the eligible airline programmes (British Airways Club, Aer Lingus AerClub, Iberia Plus or Vueling Club), separate from your RevPoints account

• Redeem your RevPoints for Avios with one of those programmes during the promotion period

If you've never linked your RevPoints account to an airline loyalty programme before, do that first, ideally well before the 30 August cut off, so you're not scrambling on the last day.

The minimum redemption is 1 RevPoint, and the maximum is 999,999 RevPoints per transaction.

Is it worth doing?

For anyone who already holds RevPoints and has half an eye on a redemption, this is a lovely little 20% uplift. There's no catch buried in the small print beyond the usual "don't abuse it or we'll claw it back" language you'd expect from any promotion like this.

The bigger question is whether you should go out of your way to earn or buy RevPoints purely to take advantage of this. I’d be cautious there. A 20% top up is decent, but it's not the kind of transformative bonus that I'd suggest warrants buying points or spending where you don't need to. Rarely is it worth it to buy points. Treat this as a nice bonus on points you already have or were already planning to move, not a reason to change your spending habits for the next fortnight.

Remember too that once you've redeemed, that RevPoints conversion cannot be reversed, so make sure you're happy with the exchange rate and your intended use for the Avios before you pull the trigger.
