How Do You Earn Avios on Travel Insurance?
It’s super simple:
Join the British Airways Club – it’s free and your key to earning Avios.
Head to the Avios store and search for “travel insurance”.
Click through to the provider of your choice and purchase as usual.
As long as you go via the Avios website and follow the process, you’ll earn Avios automatically – usually within 60 to 180 days after policy start date.
Key Things to Know Before You Buy
To maximise your Avios earnings, keep the following in mind:
No detours: Always start and finish your booking through the Avios eStore. Opening other tabs or applying outside discount codes can void your rewards.
Enable cookies and tracking
Track your points: Avios typically show up within 30–90 days. Save your confirmation email in case you need to follow up.
Don’t use plugins: Extensions like Honey that auto-apply codes may interfere with Avios tracking.
One account only: Make sure you're logged into your British Airways Club account before you click through.
