Uber and Avios: how to earn 1,000 bonus Avios by the end of November
Uber is offering 1,000 bonus Avios to British Airways Club members who link their accounts and complete one Avios-earning Uber ride and one Uber Eats order of £25 or more in the UK.
The bonus is on top of the Avios you earn on the ride and the order themselves. The catch is that not every ride or order counts, so I’ve pulled out everything you need to know.

How do I get the 1,000 bonus Avios from Uber?
Link your accounts. In the Uber app, go to Account (bottom right), then Settings. Scroll to the bottom, tap British Airways Club, then Link to start collecting Avios, and log in with your BA Club details.
Enrol in the offer. You do this on the offer page in the Uber app. Do this before you book anything, as only rides and orders completed after enrolment count.
Complete one qualifying ride and one qualifying Uber Eats order in the UK between 27 October and 23 November 2026.
You need to do both. There’s a maximum of one bonus per person.
Which rides and orders count?
This is the bit to pay attention to. A ride or order only qualifies if it earns Avios as standard, and not everything does.
Rides: a standard UberX trip doesn’t earn Avios unless it’s to or from an airport. You’ll need to book Comfort, XL, Exec, Lux, Black Cab or Reserve, or take an UberX to or from the airport.
Uber Eats: the order must be £25 or more, and it must be food and drink. Grocery and retail orders are excluded.
Do I need to do anything different if I’ve earned Avios with Uber before?
Only if you’ve earned Avios on both an Uber ride and an Uber Eats order before 27 October. In that case, you need two qualifying rides and two qualifying orders.
Your Uber Avios history | What you need to complete |
Not yet earned Avios on both a ride and an order | 1 Qualifying Trip and 1 Qualifying Order |
Already earned Avios on both a ride and an order before 27 October | 2 Qualifying Trips and 2 Qualifying Orders |
What is the deadline for the Uber Avios bonus?
The full terms say the offer runs until 23 November 2026 at 23:59 GMT. The promo banner in the app says 16 November, though. The offer could also close early (see below), so I’d aim to be done by 16 November to be safe.
When will the bonus Avios arrive?
Not straight away. Uber says to allow up to 30 days after the end of the offer period for the bonus to land in your account. That means you could be waiting until late December.
Is there a limit on how many people can get the bonus?
Yes. The offer is valid for the first 15,000 members to qualify, and it closes once that number is reached, even if the offer period hasn’t ended. So I wouldn’t leave it until the last week.
How many Avios do you earn on Uber rides and Uber Eats orders?
Just to refresh everyone's memories, as Uber changed their Avios earn rate's earlier in the year. These standard rates apply to every eligible ride and order, separately from the bonus.
Where a ride qualifies for more than one rate, you get the highest, and the rates don’t stack. An Uber Reserve trip to the airport, for example, earns the 3x Reserve rate rather than the 2x airport rate.
In the UK, including Northern Ireland, the rates are as follows.
What you book | Avios earned |
Uber XL, Exec, Lux, Comfort, Exec XXL and Black Cab | 2 Avios per £1 of Qualifying Spend |
Airport journeys (including UberX) | 2 Avios per £1 of Qualifying Spend |
Uber Travel Rail and Eurostar journeys booked via Uber | 2 Avios per £1 of Qualifying Spend |
Uber Reserve journeys | 3 Avios per £1 of Qualifying Spend |
Uber Eats orders of £25 or more | 1 Avios per £1 of Qualifying Spend |
In the Republic of Ireland, the rates are based on slightly different services.
What you book | Avios earned |
Airport trips, Taxi Max, Taxi XL and Uber Black | 2 Avios per €1 of Qualifying Spend |
Taxi Reserve and Uber Black Reserve | 3 Avios per €1 of Qualifying Spend |
Uber Eats orders of €25 or more | 1 Avios per €1 of Qualifying Spend |
Is this offer worth it?
It depends on how you already use Uber. 1,000 Avios is worth roughly £10 at 1p per Avios, plus whatever you earn on the ride and order themselves.
If you’d normally book an Uber Comfort or an airport run this month, and your usual takeaway comes to £25 or more, it’s an easy win. Just enrol first.
If you’d have to upgrade from UberX or pad out a takeaway order to hit £25, I wouldn’t go too far out of my way. The same goes if you’ve earned Avios with Uber before and need two of each. With the 15,000 person cap and a wait of up to 30 days for the Avios, the extra spend soon eats into the value of any Avios you'd gain.
If it fits what you’d normally do this month, enrol on the offer page before you book anything.
