Essentially, The Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, officially known as the Flying Club, is Virgin Atlantic’s frequent flyer program and their own version of the BA Club. It’s designed to reward loyal travellers with points (also known as Virgin Points, their version of Avios), status tiers, and a variety of travel and lifestyle benefits. Flying Club is also fully integrated into Virgin Red, Virgin Group’s overarching loyalty program, something I will write a separate blog post about.

Virgin Red: How It Connects to Flying Club
Virgin Red is the universal rewards platform across the entire Virgin Group, and Flying Club is a major component of it.

That means you can earn Virgin Points through Flying Club and spend them not just on flights, but also:
Holidays with Virgin Holidays
Train tickets with Virgin Trains Ticketing
Wine, gadgets, and experiences from the Virgin Red marketplace
With Virgin Hotels you can enjoy a free room upgrade (when available) with Silver or Gold status, and if you’re a Gold member, you can start your day off with a complimentary breakfast. These benefits apply at every Virgin Hotel worldwide apart from Edinburgh at the moment.
There is also the opportunity to book tickets for the Virgin Red Room at the 02 Arena for various different gigs and events. Usually around the 50,000 Virgin Points mark for a pair of tickets, some gigs do go up to 75,000, for example Diana Ross in July of 2025. There are also sporting events which start around 35,000. (Point prices correct as of 31st May 2025.)

Absolutely, especially if you fly Virgin Atlantic even occasionally. With free signup, valuable benefits at even the Silver tier, and top-tier perks that rival any global airline, the Flying Club is a no-brainer for anyone traveling transatlantic or looking for benefits within the Virgin ecosystem.
