Where Can I Use My Amex Dining Credit? Interactive UK Map

Using American Express dining credits if you hold the Platinum Card should be straightforward, but in practice many cardholders find the Amex website awkward to use when trying to locate eligible restaurants. Also, the website does have this irritating habit of freezing regularly... although that could just be me? Lists are often hard to visualise geographically, making it difficult to tell which venues are actually nearby or convenient.

A Google Maps Tool to Help You Find Amex Dining Credit Restaurants

The Amex Platinum Card includes £200 annual dining credit (£100 every six months) at participating UK restaurants. While valuable, the benefit requires actually using it at eligible venues, hence why knowing where these restaurants are located matters.

To address this, a Reddit user, u/SnowCaffine, has created a Google Maps integration showing where Amex dining credit can be used across the UK, based on data current as of January 2026.

What the Amex Dining Credit Map Shows

The custom Google Map plots participating restaurants directly onto an interactive map. Rather than searching through text-based lists, users can see restaurant locations at a glance and zoom in on specific cities or areas.

Scope and Update Frequency

At present, the map only includes UK restaurants. According to u/SnowCaffine Reddit post, the data will be refreshed approximately every six months, typically around July when many cardholders look to use remaining dining credit. Additional countries may be added in the future.

Important Disclaimer

While the map is useful as a planning tool, it is not an official American Express resource.

The American Express UK website remains the definitive source for confirming whether a restaurant is currently participating in the dining credit programme. Restaurant participation can change, and cardholders should always verify against the official Amex webpage before deciding to dine there.

Why a Map Format Is Helpful

Seeing restaurants plotted geographically removes much of the guesswork involved in using Amex dining credits. It allows cardholders to quickly assess whether the benefit is usable in a particular location, rather than relying on lengthy lists.

For UK-based Amex cardholders, this type of visual tool can make the dining credit easier to plan around, provided it is used alongside the official Amex listings.
