September 2025 Highlights

Economy (from just 6,000 points each way!)

  • London (LHR) – Barbados (BGI), 17–23 Sep: 12,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – New York (JFK), 17–23 Sep: 12,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Johannesburg (JNB), 22–28 Sep: 15,000 points return

Premium

  • London (LHR) – New York (JFK), 17–23 Sep: 21,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Riyadh (RUH), 21–27 Sep: 21,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Miami (MIA), 15–22 Sep: 36,000 points return

Upper Class

  • London (LHR) – Riyadh (RUH), 22–29 Sep: 53,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Mumbai (BOM), 17–24 Sep: 54,000 points return

Standout: Barbados for just 12,000 in Economy return is an absurd bargain, while 21,000 to New York in Premium is a solid sweet spot not to be sneered at.

NYC at just 12,000 points ... go go go! Times Square at dusk with colorful billboards and skyscrapers. Crowds crossing the street. Bright, dynamic urban scene.
The chance to see Time Square for just 12,000 Virgin Points is too good an opportunity to miss.

October 2025 Highlights

Economy

  • London (LHR) – Boston (BOS), 1–7 Oct: 12,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Washington, D.C. (IAD), 9–16 Oct: 12,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Cape Town (CPT), 13–19 Oct: 15,000 points return

Premium

  • London (LHR) – Boston (BOS), 14–21 Oct: 21,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Bengaluru (BLR), 7–13 Oct: 21,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – New York (JFK), 15–21 Oct: 21,000 points return

Upper Class

  • London (LHR) – Riyadh (RUH), 2–8 Oct: 46,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Cape Town (CPT), 15–21 Oct: 70,000 points return

  • London (LHR) – Mumbai (BOM), 2–8 Oct: 76,000 points return

Standout: 15,000 to Cape Town in Economy is the ultimate long-haul steal and honestly if we weren't saving up to utilise the points elsewhere I would seriously consider booking that. Upper to Cape Town and back for 70,000 is also a really good price.

Virgin Atlantic Points Redemption Flight to Cape Town at just 12,000 Points. Aerial view of Cape Town, featuring Table Mountain and the coastline. City buildings and a stadium are visible under a clear sky.
Whether you want to explore the city or do some wine tastings, the prices to get to Cape Town are fantastic

Standout: Dubai or Cancun in Economy for just 12,000 return is unbeatable winter sunshine on the cheap.

Virgin fly to both Dubai and Riyadh. View of a plane's red engine and wing flying over a vast desert landscape. The scene is hazy with a clear blue sky above.
Whether you want to explore Dubai or Saudi Arabia, there are bargains to be found with Virgin Atlantic

Cheap Virgin Atlantic Points Redemption Flights: Final Thoughts

Virgin Atlantic redemptions don’t always get the love they deserve, especially since the dynamic pricing introduction, but when fares like these pop up, they can offer outsized value across all cabins.

The 12k Economy returns are almost no-brainers, Premium to the US at 21k is one of the best-value comfort upgrades in the industry, and if you’ve got the points to burn, Upper redemptions to places like Mumbai or Riyadh can still be an excellent use of your balance.

It is worth noting that on top of the points paid you will need to pay cash for your taxes and other duties, which will vary depending on where you are going.

If you’re flexible with dates and willing to hunt, vseats.io should be your first stop, because these redemptions won’t stay on the shelf for long.
