If you’re flying internationally out of Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport (CFU), finding a quiet spot to relax before your flight can be a challenge. Tucked away after passport control for non-schengen departures, you'll find the Goldair Handling Lounge, the only lounge option at this small but busy airport.

But is it worth visiting? Here’s our full Corfu Airport Lounge Review after a recent trip.
Location – Easy to Find for International Departures
The Goldair Handling Lounge is located airside, on Level 1 in the Extra Schengen Area, making it available to passengers on international flights departing outside the Schengen Zone.

Once you’ve cleared passport control, turn right and look for the lift or stairs to the first floor. While signage isn’t overly prominent, it’s easy enough to locate with a little attention.
Opening Hours – Be Aware of the Winter Closure
The lounge operates daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, however, a crucial detail for year-round travellers: the lounge closes entirely during the winter season, from October 31st to March 31st. If you’re flying during these months, you’ll need to make alternative arrangements. Luckily the airport is filled to the brim with great looking food options and shops, and I can safely say this is one of the loveliest European airports we have flown out of.
Access – Business Class, Priority Pass, Dragonpass, LoungeKey, and Paid Entry Options
Access is available to Business Class passengers, Priority Pass, Dragonpass and LoungeKey members,. You can also buy lounge access for £28.00 per adult.
During our visit, check-in was smooth and efficient. A quick scan of our tickets and we were in with no issues.
Atmosphere – Quiet, Spacious, and Immaculately Clean
First impressions were positive. The lounge is calm and noticeably quiet, designed as a silent space with no flight announcements. Instead, several large screens display up-to-date flight information, so it’s important to keep an eye on your boarding time.
The seating area is surprisingly spacious, especially given the airport’s small size. There’s a mix of lounge chairs, high-top tables, and dining spots, giving guests a choice of settings whether they want to work, eat, or simply relax.

Natural light fills the space thanks to large windows, and the lounge feels fresh and airy.
Throughout our stay, staff were frequently seen tidying, replenishing food trays, and clearing used glasses and plates, a level of attentiveness that really stood out.
Food and Drink – A Solid Selection for a Regional Airport Lounge
While this isn’t a full-service dining lounge, the food and drink selection offers more than enough for a pre-flight refresh.

Food highlights during our visit included:
A variety of freshly made sandwiches, with both meat, vegetarian and vegan options available
Individual servings of creamy Greek yoghurts, with optional toppings
Sweet treats like mini cakes and pastries, perfect for a light snack
Clearly displayed allergen information next to each food item, ideal for those with dietary restrictions

For drinks, the lounge offers:
A Nespresso coffee machine with multiple coffee pod options
A wide range of teas, with alternative milks such as soy, oat and almond for non-dairy drinkers
Chilled soft drinks, bottled water, and fruit juices available for self-service
A well-stocked alcohol selection including red, white, and rosé wines
Spirits like Gordon’s Gin, Bacardi Rum, Smirnoff Vodka, whiskey, and Baileys
Two local liqueurs: Kumquat and Lemon, giving a unique Corfiot twist. I tried the Kumquat one and as someone who likes my spirits to be strong, this was delicious and I am gutted not to have had the foresight to bring some home. Sam was not a fan!
A fridge stocked with chilled beers for those wanting something refreshing

Overall, the catering here exceeds what you’d typically expect from a small regional airport lounge, and we were impressed by the food and drink on offer.
Facilities – Covering the Essentials
The lounge isn’t overflowing with luxury extras, but it covers all the key amenities most travellers need:
Free, high-speed Wi-Fi that worked flawlessly during our stay—great for streaming, emails, or catching up on work
Air conditioning that kept the space cool and comfortable despite the summer heat outside
Full disabled access, with wide walkways and step-free zones
On-site toilets located inside the lounge itself
During our visit, there was one small downside: only one men’s toilet was in operation out of three.

Thankfully, both women’s toilets were fully functional and very clean. Lounge staff were aware of the issue with the men's toilet though.
Time Limits – Three Hours of Pre-Flight Comfort
Entry comes with a maximum stay of three hours, which is more than enough for most outbound flights from Corfu Airport. The staff do mention this to you as you enter, so keep your boarding time in mind.
Final Verdict – Corfu Airport Lounge Review 2025 - A Hidden Gem
For a small island airport, the Goldair Handling Lounge at Corfu Airport delivers impressive value, especially if you have complimentary access through a Priority Pass, Dragonpass, or as part of your ticket

The lounge offers a peaceful atmosphere, solid food and drink choices, reliable Wi-Fi, and a clean environment, all essential when waiting for an international flight. While the minor toilet maintenance issue was a small negatives, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive.
If you’re departing Corfu and have access, this lounge is definitely worth a visit.
