For the person applying for the card via referral, the welcome bonus has been boosted to 15,000 Avios instead of 6,000, provided they are approved and spend £2,000 on this card in the first three months.

For the person referring, each approved application will now earn 8,000 Avios instead of the usual 4,000. This is double the normal reward and makes referrals far more valuable than usual.

What Can You Do with These Avios?

With 8,000 Avios, the referrer is already close to the number needed for a return flight to a popular European destination when combined with a Companion Voucher or topped up through spending.

Cardholders earn 1 Avios for every £1 spent, helping them build Avios through daily purchases. By spending £15,000 in a membership year, cardholders can unlock a British Airways Companion Voucher, allowing a companion to travel on the same reward flight in Economy only for no additional Avios.

Share this link with friends, family or colleagues. When they apply through your link and are approved, you will receive 8,000 Avios. There is no fixed limit to the number of referrals you can make, making this a powerful way to boost your Avios balance if multiple people you know might benefit.

How New Applicants Get 15,000 Bonus Avios with the British Airways American Express Credit Card

For the referred applicant to qualify for the 15,000 Avios welcome bonus, they must apply using the referral link, be approved for the credit card and spend £2,000 within the first three months.
