Time-limited 20% bonus when you convert Nectar to Avios
Nectar collectors and Avios fans have a limited-time opportunity to supercharge their British Airways Avios pot. Between 1st and 31st October 2026, you can earn a 20% bonus Avios when you convert your Nectar points either as a one off conversion or if you opt in to auto-converting into Avios, and subsequently convert your points.

How the Nectar to Avios bonus works
The standard conversion rate remains 400 Nectar points for 250 Avios, but with this offer, you'll receive an additional 20% bonus on top of your converted Avios. That's an extra 50 Avios, giving you 300 Avios total for every 400 Nectar points converted.
Fancy going the other way? If you convert Avios to Nectar you'll also get an extra 20%. The conversion rate on this is 400 Avios to 400 Nectar points usually, but with this promotion you will get 480 Nectar points.
This seems to be Nectar and Avios putting their own spin on Virgin Atlantic and Tesco's offer of 5000 Virgin Points when you set up your Tesco Clubcard to auto-convert.
To qualify for the bonus, your BA Club and Nectar accounts must be successfully linked, and you'll need to complete at least one eligible conversion during the promotional period, either from Nectar points into Avios or from Avios into Nectar points.
An "Eligible Exchange" can be made in one of two ways: through Automatic Opt-In (AOI), or via a manual one-off exchange.
That's a nice improvement on last time, when the bonus only applied to auto-convert. This time, it covers both manual one-off conversions and AOI conversions.
A few details to know:
Conversions must be in multiples of 400 (minimum 400).
Bonuses are rounded to whole Avios or Nectar points.
On Avios to Nectar conversions, the bonus is only paid on up to 50,000 Avios converted, so the maximum bonus is 10,000 Nectar points.
Bonus Avios and Nectar points will be credited within 28 days after the promotion ends.
Getting started on auto conversions
Setting up the conversion is straightforward - simply link your Nectar and British Airways Club accounts at on the Avios website. Once connected, you can choose between manual conversions (done at your discretion) or auto-conversion, where your points are automatically transferred at regular intervals.

Important dates for the bonus converting Nectar to Avios
The offer runs from 00:01 BST on 1st October to 23:59 BST on 31st October 2026, and you must complete at least one eligible conversion during this period.
To get the bonus on auto-conversions, your accounts must be linked before 23:59 BST on 24th October.
