Virgin Trains Ticketing are running two offers currently. Book a train ticket by 20 September 2026 and you'll earn six Virgin Points per £1 instead of the usual three, and buy a digital Railcard in the same window and you'll get 2,000 bonus points on top.
We covered the last time this offer ran back in March. All of the details are the same, apart from the finishing date.

Double points on tickets
Six points per £1 applies to journeys anywhere in Great Britain on any operator because despite the name, Virgin Trains Ticketing sells tickets for everyone, and there haven't been Virgin trains since 2019. The Virgin Trains Ticketing app is how I book 99% of all my trains here on South Western Railway.
Book by 20 September, but the travel itself can be later, so anything already on sale for the autumn counts. There are no booking fees, and split ticketing is offered, so you can pick up the cheaper fare and the doubled points on the same booking.
If you've never used it, you'll need to link your Virgin Red account inside the app first, but this is an exceptionally easy way to keep your Virgin Points ticking upwards.
2,000 points on a Railcard
Buy or renew a digital Railcard through Virgin Trains Ticketing during the offer period and you'll get 2,000 Virgin Points.
You can use these points for £10 off future rail travel, or, what I would do is save them for a future redemption on Virgin Atlantic. Two reasons why, first, Virgin Points never expire, and second, flights on Virgin Atlantic start from only 6,000 Virgin Points (plus the inevitable taxes and fees).
Below is what we paid for two economy flights coming back from New York on Virgin Atlantic for May next year.

If you're like me, and clinging onto youth in your last year of holding a railcard, you'll understand the power of one, so getting a wad of points on top, well that's not exactly a bad deal on something you're probably going to want anyway.
