Until 13th October, you have the chance to get an increased bonus on the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card. This card usually offers a sign up bonus of 18,000 Virgin Points, but now they have doubled that offer to 36,000 Virgin Points, with some caveats, I'll explain how.
How Is the Bonus Structured?
The card offers a substantial 36,000 Virgin Points welcome bonus split across two very achievable milestones:
18,000 Virgin points upon first purchase within 90 days (easy)
Additional 18,000 Virgin Points for spending £3,000 within 90 days (easy-ish)
We recently made a post (click here) demonstrating some of the bargains that you can get for only 12,000 Virgin Points. So if you're someone who is flexible with when they wish to travel, the 36,000 Virgin Points gained from this card provides excellent value versus the £160 annual fee.
Virgin Points never expire, so you could in theory earn the bonus from this card, and then just bank them, biding your time to when you wish to use them. Although we wouldn't recommend just sitting on points as the program could decide to devalue the points at anytime.
We're a big fan of the flexibility that Virgin Points offer. I used them to travel on Air France, whilst Helena used them to get a great deal on an Upper Class flight to New York. You can also use them for stays in Virgin Hotels, gym-passes at Virgin Active clubs, box seats at the O2 in London, cruises with Virgin Voyages, and many, many other options, which you can find here.

Previous cardholders who cancelled more than six months ago qualify for new bonuses
Current free Virgin Atlantic cardholders can upgrade and receive the bonus
Supplementary cardholders on existing accounts are eligible

The card provides Virgin Points earning on all purchase, earning:
1.5 Virgin Points per £1 spent
3 Virgin Points per £1 spent at Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Holidays
