Here is a weekly round of the news and stories that you may have missed this week at Points Well Made. Make sure you read to the bottom so you don't miss some juicy card offers!
If you’ve built up 50,000 Avios in your British Airways Club account you’re in the perfect position to turn those points into a serious return flight. 50,000 Avios is more than enough for a European return in business or a longer haul flight. With the right approach, you can unlock a gorgeous city break or a relaxing holiday by the pool, all using Avios instead of cash.
The key is knowing where to look, and for that, you’ll want to use the British Airways Reward Flight Finder or our favoured award-search tool SeatSpy. These two resources work hand in hand to help you spot routes that fall under 50,000 Avios for a return trip.
But, because we are also a wonderful source of knowledge, we've pulled together everywhere you can fly, return, with BA for 50,000 Avios. And yes, New York City is even on the list kids!

This is the situation. You've specifically selected a window seat for your flight, excited to watch the world shrink below you as you take off or catch a glimpse of your destination from above. You board the plane, find your row, and discover... a blank wall where the window should be. Welcome to the frustrating world of the windowless window seat.
Spend any amount of time online and invariably you will find countless complaints from people who have been duped into a window seat on a plane with no window: here's why is happens, and how to prevent it.
I will admit that this post was inspired by Ryanair, more specifically the press team who control their Twitter and TikTok, endlessly sassing customers for my enjoyment.

For those who have not yet used Shops Away, there is currently a generous introductory offer. On your very first purchase through the portal, you will receive an additional 30% in Virgin Points.
This applies to both online and instore transactions with participating retailers. The bonus is only awarded once per member, but it is an excellent way to start using the service. In most cases, the extra points appear in your account within 24 hours of the retailer confirming the purchase, although exact timings vary.

I had fun writing this one...
"The Galleries First lounge at Terminal 3 is a bit like that restaurant you visit because it's convenient, not because it's particularly good. It serves its purpose, and there are worse places to spend a few hours before a flight, but it's unlikely to be the highlight of your travel experience.
If BA really wants to compete with the likes of Emirates or Qatar Airways in the First Class space, they need to remember that premium passengers aren't just paying for champagne and a hot meal - they're paying for an experience. The Galleries First lounge feels like someone forgot the experience part and focused solely on ticking boxes."

When I was seven, my parents took me to Disneyland Paris. I can still picture myself in front of the castle, absolutely wide-eyed, clutching my Mickey Mouse Magician's Hat, and feeling like I’d stepped into another world. That trip was over twenty years ago, and yet I still remember it so clearly. The "It's A Small World Ride", The Dumbo ride, Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, I even kept the hat for the next 10 years!
That’s why I think Disney holidays matter so much for families. They’re not cheap, in fact, they’ve only gotten more expensive over the years, but the memories last a lifetime. Which is why I wanted to flag this: Virgin Atlantic Holidays have brought back the Free Disney Dining & Drinks package for 2026.
Why Has Disney Got So Expensive?
Over the past decade, costs for a Walt Disney World holiday have risen steadily:
Tickets: A one-day base ticket used to be under $100, but now varies with date and park — often well over $150 per person. Multiply that by several days and a family of four is into the thousands before even leaving the UK.
FastPass replaced by Genie+: What used to be free skip-the-line access now costs extra per person, per day. Popular rides like Rise of the Resistance require separate “Individual Lightning Lane” purchases.
Food: Dining in the parks isn’t cheap. A sit-down meal for a family of four can easily top $100, and even quick-service meals add up when multiplied by 10–14 days.
Hotels: Staying on-site is part of the Disney magic, but prices for rooms have gone up too, especially at the more popular resorts.

We admittedly bombard you with information that even we struggle to digest at times. So we thought it best to cover the best card offers that available to you and I today.
All the cards below have enhanced bonus offers, giving you the chance to get even more points. Frankly, 99 times out 100 its always worth holding off from taking out a points earning credit card until there is an enhanced bonus available, such is the value.
So here are five credit cards that you can get today, with a boosted sign up bonus!
Theses include the Virgin Atlantic Reward Plus, American Express Gold, Platinum, Gold Business, and Platinum Business.
