Points Well Made has seen a rapid increase in readership over the last month, so for those who have just recently joined us, firstly, welcome. Secondly, we thought we'd do a recap of our top five stories from June. this started out as an Instagram post, but we know that not everyone joins us over there, so here you are, the top five stories in June:

"Six flights, over 72 hours. Starting this afternoon, that's what I've got coming up, all in the name of bringing you fine people the content you desire. Plus, I booked it all using Avios or Virgin Points, because that's ultimately why you're here, to learn our tips and tricks to get you travelling better, for less."
Honestly, this was a lot of fun, and fortunately the week before everything kicked off in the Middle East. We'll bring you lots in the coming months, from Qatar Airways' First Class lounge, the Al Safwa, Starlink WiFi on an aircraft, and some excellent Air France catering. We're not uploading in order, so I've already put out my thoughts on my British Airways Club Europe, TRIBE Budapest Airport, Cathay Pacific's Business Class lounge at Heathrow, and Virgin Atlantic Upper Class back from Saudi Arabia.

"Wimbledon fever is in full swing, and this year, fans have even more reason to celebrate. As the Official Banking Partner of The Championships, Barclays is offering its customers a whole new level of access from free strawberries and cream to exclusive on-site experiences.
Step into Champions’ Corner with Barclays at Aorangi and catch the players in action as they train for their big matches, right from the viewing platform! You might even bump into them at an exclusive meet and greet, perfect for getting your Centre Court keepsakes signed."

"Returning for 2025, the Amex Pavilion on The Hill continues to be one of Wimbledon’s must-visit attractions. Open to all guests, it offers high-energy games, exciting prizes, and an unmissable photo opportunity.
The Amex Experience in the Southern Village is back and better than ever for 2025. Open to all attendees, this immersive area features Wimbledon themed games, epic photo moments and the chance to send a postcard anywhere in the world.
Located in a quiet spot behind No.3 Court, the Cardmember Lounge is a welcome escape from the crowds. Open to Cardmembers and up to two guests, this premium space offers:
Comfortable seating and shaded rest areas
Exclusive cocktails and surprise giveaways"
Helena will be visiting Wimbledon on Wednesday, and will give you all her thoughts about both the American Express and Barclays perks for customers on Friday.

"Ah, air travel. That magical experience where you fork out a few hundred quid to be herded like livestock, breathe in someone else's exhalations and catch Covid, and spend several hours trapped in a tin can hurtling through the sky with strangers and suspicious chicken wraps.
But it’s not the cramped legroom, the dubious tray meals, or the baby in 14A auditioning for The Voice that winds me up. No - it’s the people."
I don't think Helena has had more fun than writing this one. Honestly, I'd recommend giving it a read if you haven't already, I'm sure you'll notice a character or two in there.

"Earning Avios doesn’t have to mean booking flights or spending big. By being strategic with your everyday spending and knowing where to look, you can collect thousands of Avios a year without even leaving your home.
From switching providers and comparison shopping to buying groceries or upgrading your wardrobe, the opportunities are everywhere. Visit Avios.com, link your accounts, and start earning on the things you already do. Your next flight, upgrade, or hotel stay could be just a few clicks away."
10 ways to earn Avios, and from this you might even be able to come up with 10 more ways! We hope this post has been helpful to those of you starting out to collect Avios. It's not just about the credit card spending and flying to earn them, it's the everyday that counts.
