Virgin Atlantic has unveiled a generous new promotion for Flying Club members, offering travellers the chance to receive up to 70% bonus Virgin Points on purchases made between 8 September and 12 October 2025. This limited-time offer presents an excellent opportunity for frequent flyers to boost their balances and unlock premium travel rewards faster.
Interestingly they previously did this offer in June and the costs and amounts on offer are exactly the same this time around. Let's jump into it.

How the Virgin Points Bonus Works
During the promotional window, members who buy or gift Virgin Points can benefit from tiered bonus rates depending on the amount purchased:
5,000 – 24,000 points: 20% bonus
25,000 – 69,000 points: 40% bonus
70,000 – 124,000 points: 60% bonus
125,000 – 200,000 points: 70% bonus
The bonus is credited immediately at the time of purchase and will appear in your Flying Club account within 24 hours. Purchases below 5,000 points are not eligible for any bonus.
To buy Virgin Points, you need to login to your account, and halfway down the "my account" page you will find "buy, gift, or transfer points.
Purchase Limits and Costs
Members may purchase or gift Virgin Points in increments of 1,000, up to a maximum of 200,000 points per calendar year. Bonus points are not included in this annual cap.
Each transaction comes with a one-off handling fee of £15 applied at checkout, and points are priced at £15 per 1,000 base points. For example:
1,000 base points: £15 (plus £15 handling fee)
5,000 base points: £75 (plus £15 handling fee)
10,000 base points: £150 (plus £15 handling fee)
25,000 base points: £375 (plus £15 handling fee)
50,000 base points: £750 (plus £15 handling fee)
75,000 base points: £1,125 (plus £15 handling fee)
100,000 base points: £1,500 (plus £15 handling fee)
So if you want to purchase the lowest amount of Virgin Points possible to get the 70% bonus, you will need to fork out £1,875 plus £15 handling fee. You will then receive a total of 212,000 Virgin Points.
It’s important to note that members with a zero points balance are not eligible to buy, gift, or transfer points.

Cancellation and Refunds
Members may cancel their purchase within 14 days of the transaction, provided none of the points have been redeemed. Once any purchased points are used, the refund option no longer applies. After the 14-day cooling-off period, all purchased points become non-refundable and non-transferable, except where expressly permitted under Flying Club terms and conditions.
This Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Bonus: Is This Offer Worth It?
This promotion could be particularly valuable for travellers looking to top up their accounts for a specific redemption. With the 70% bonus kicking in at the highest purchase levels, those buying large quantities of points will see the best value.
However, members are strongly advised to check reward seat availability and pricing before purchasing to ensure their points can be put to good use. Dynamic pricing has really bitten people in the butt recently so always keep and eye out and try to be as flexible as you can! For ease we tend to recommend vseats.io as they quickly and accurately detail all pricing for flights, and sometimes you can find some absolute steals!
Final Thoughts
For those who have specific redemptions in mind – particularly long-haul Upper Class flights or partner airline awards, this limited-time Virgin Atlantic points bonus could be an excellent way to secure premium travel at a lower cost.
