About time! While Amex cardholders have been racking up referral bonuses for years, Virgin has finally joined the party!
How Does It Work?
The process is straightforward:
Grab your unique referral code from the Virgin Money Credit Card app or the referral webpage in the Rewards Lounge section.
Share your code with friends who apply for either the free Virgin Atlantic Reward Credit Card or the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card (£160 annual fee) via virginmoney.com/referafriend
Once approved, they've got 60 days to pop your code into their app within the Rewards Lounge
When your friend spends at least £3,000 within 90 days, you both get rewarded.
You'll pocket 5,000 Virgin Points.
Your friend gets either 7,000 points (Reward+ card) or 4,000 points (free Reward card), in addition to the advertised welcome bonus.

The Annual Cap
Virgin Money cap referrals at 50,000 Virgin Points per calendar year - that's a maximum of 10 successful referrals. Depending on how savvy you are with redemptions, you could snag a one-way Upper Class seat to New York from 29,000 points plus a Premium return at around 20,000 points.
Compare this to Amex, where you can typically earn up to 90,000 points per card, per year. Virgin's limit is definitely more modest.
